The Story Behind the Clay
AkshayKala was born from a spark, a college trip that revealed the quiet beauty of India’s fading crafts and the untold stories of its artisans. What began as a chance encounter soon evolved into a movement driven by purpose, creativity, and community. With a dream to empower rural women, we began by learning and teaching terracotta, crochet, and thread work. From a small circle in Nainital to a thriving artisan collective in Jharkhand, our journey has always been guided by heart, handmade hope, and cultural revival.
Today, AkshayKala is a sustainable fashion brand crafting handcrafted earrings and accessories using eco-conscious materials like terracotta, bamboo, and fabric scraps. Each product blends traditional artistry with modern innovation and is customisable, biodegradable, and full of soul. Our iconic #MittiKaJhumka is more than jewellery; it’s a revival of ancient soil-born art and a celebration of empowered womanhood.
